When you’re in the mood for something sweet but don’t have much time, it’s easy to put together a delicious dessert with just a little effort. By keeping these ingredients on hand, you can whip up mouthwatering quick desserts with cream cheese in no time.

Cream cheese is always worth keeping in your fridge because it adds an instant sweet taste to so many dishes without adding too many calories. When combined with marshmallow creme or cocoa powder, cream cheese makes quick fillings that are great for crumbling into graham cracker crusts or chocolate cupcakes. Other times, simply sinking your teeth into a thick layer of cream cheese layered between graham crackers and raspberries will satisfy your sweet tooth instantly!

Here is a list of some quick desserts with cream cheese that you can enjoy and fulfill your cravings.

Cream cheese cupcakes

A bowl of food on a plate

Combine 1 tablespoon cocoa powder with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 2 teaspoons boiling water to make a dark chocolate sauce. Let cool. In another bowl, use an electric mixer to beat 16 ounces room-temperature cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 box (16 ounces) confectioners’ sugar and beat until blended. Make a well in the center of the cream cheese mixture and add 3 eggs and the chocolate sauce. Mix well and pour into cupcake pans lined with paper cups. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.

There are different kinds of cheesecakes but the one I’m going to share with you is an easy one that doesn’t require baking — making it hassle-free. All you need are these ingredients:

  • softened cream cheese (16 oz.)
  • sugar (optional)
  • eggs (2)
  • vanilla extract
  • sour cream (optional; 16 oz.) and
  • graham crackers (1 box, crushed).

First, beat the cream cheese with a mixer until smooth. Then add sugar and vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time while continuing to mix the ingredients until all are well-incorporated. Lastly, add sour cream and blend well. If you don’t have any available or if you want to make your cheesecake even healthier, substitute sour cream with yogurt. Then spread the mixture evenly in a pie pan lined with graham crackers or in a springform pan that has been greased. Bake in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 40-45 minutes. Let it cool then refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

Cheesecake bars

This last recipe is also one of the most popular quick desserts with cream cheese. You can make these with or without a baking pan. What you’ll need are these ingredients:

  • graham crackers (1 box, broken into pieces)
  • butter (1/4 cup, room temperature)
  • cream cheese (16 oz.)
  • eggs (2 whole eggs and 1 egg yolk)
  • sugar (3/4 cup) and vanilla extract.

First, place the graham cracker pieces in a 9×13 baking dish then evenly distribute the softened butter on top of it. Then beat the cream cheese until smooth and add sugar while continuing to mix everything well. Separately, beat 2 whole eggs plus 1 egg yolk then add it to the cream cheese mixture while still mixing all of its contents. Lastly, add vanilla extract and blend everything thoroughly. Pour the mixture over the graham crackers and bake in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30-35 minutes or until set. Let it cool then cut into bars and serve!

These are just some of the many ways you can try to make quick desserts with cream cheese. There’s a wide range of recipes to choose from that I’m sure everyone will find one he or she likes. So have fun with these delicious ideas!
