1. Boston Cream Pie

Is it a cake or a pie? Actually, you can call it both. Dive into the delicious taste of this excellent baked dessert.


For Cake:

– Melted butter, 12 tablespoons and more for pan
– Flour, 1 and ½ cups and little more for pan
– Baking powder, 2 teaspoons,
– Kosher salt, a ½ teaspoon
– Sugar, 1 cup
– Vanilla extract, 2 teaspoon
– Eggs, 3
– Buttermilk, 2/3 cup

For Filling And Glaze:

– Sugar, 1 cup
– Cornstarch, ¼ cup
– Kosher salt, a ½ teaspoon
– Vanilla bean, scrape seeds and reserve, a ½ teaspoon
– Egg yolks, 6
– Milk, 1 and ½ cups
– Butter cube, 4 tablespoons
– Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
– 60% bittersweet finely chopped chocolate, 4 ounces
– Heavy cream, ½ cup


• Firstly, heat your oven at 350°F. Grease cake pan.

• Prepare a bowl. In it, whisk flour, salt, and baking powder together. Keep it aside.

• Take another bowl, beat sugar, butter and vanilla extract together almost 3 minutes till it’s fluffy. Add the eggs one by one. Mix well until smooth.

• Add the dry ingredients and the buttermilk slowly into the mixture. Beat till everything is combined.

• Into the greased pan pour the batter. Bake about 35 minutes. Let it cool completely.

• Whisk cornstarch, sugar, vanilla seeds, and salt in a saucepan. Add in egg yolks and whisk for smoothness. Pour in milk.

• Place the saucepan over medium heat. Continuously stir for about 10 minutes until it thickens.

• Remove it from heat and add butter cubes one by one while you whisk continuously. Add some vanilla extract.

• Transfer the filling to a bowl. Wrap it with plastic for 2 hours.

• Place a bowl over a water-filled saucepan. Put the chocolate in the bowl. Pour cream over it. Boil over high hit.

• Mix the melted chocolate and cream until shiny and smooth. Let it cool.

• Cut the cake horizontally into two layers. Spread the filling in between two layers.

• Now pour the glaze on top. Refrigerate the cake for 30 minutes.

• It’s ready to serve.

Peach cobbler is a dessert that is rich with peach filling. This baked dessert will burst in your mouth, and you will transcend to another zone with its heavenly taste.


For Peach Filling:

– Thawed or fresh peaches, chopped into small pieces, 3lb. 6 cups
– Sugar, ½ cup
– Lemon juice, 1 lemon
– Almond extract, 2 teaspoon
– Ground cinnamon, a ½ teaspoon

For Topping

– Brown sugar, 1 cup
– All-purpose flour, ¾ cup
– Unsalted butter ¾ cup, cut into small pieces
– Ground cinnamon, a ½ teaspoon
– Ground nutmeg, a ½ teaspoon
– Kosher salt, a ½ teaspoon
– Sliced almonds, ¾ cup


• At 375°F preheat your oven.

• Bring a large bowl. Add peaches, almond extract, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir well to coat.

• Take a bowl. Mix brown sugar, butter, flour, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg together. In the dry ingredients add in the butter chunks. Mix until pea-sized crumbs are there. (do quickly till the butter stays cold).

• Toss some almonds over the mixture. Refrigerate it for sometimes.

• Take a baking pan. Pour the peach filling. Sprinkle a generous amount of crisp topping.

• Bake for 30-35 minutes or until it gets a golden brown, crispy top.

• Let it cool. Your peach cobbler is ready for relishing.
